Time For New Leadership
Welcome to my website. I am running for Broward County Sheriff because I am deeply concerned about the impact recent events have had on our Sheriff's office. The Broward Sheriff's Office provides some of the finest law enforcement services in the nation. However, in the past few years, too often the public perception has not reflected that reality.
For our Sheriff's Office to be effective, it is essential that any perception of corruption in its ranks be addressed and repaired head on, without delay. To restore the public's confidence in the office, it must be led by someone of proven integrity. I have nearly 30 years of experience in the criminal justice system - from state court prosecutor to Chief of the Public Integrity Section of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida. I have the credentials and the commitment necessary to promote respect for this fine office.
I believe that competent, effective law enforcement and honest, selfless commitment to the community must go hand-in-hand.
I believe that public service should never be a vehicle for self-enrichment; that public service is a public trust.
Thomas Jefferson wrote, "The whole of government consists in the art of being honest." I am committed to that principle. In that spirit, I offer myself to you as a candidate for Sheriff of Broward County.
